Ryan Dillon

Ryan Dillon has been puppeteering since he could hold his arm up and currently performs everyone’s favorite red monster, Elmo.  Inspired by the Muppets™ since childhood, and encouraged by his family and teachers, Dillon built and performed his own characters, performing shows wherever he could. In his senior year of high school, he was asked to join the cast of Sesame Street, and has been performing on the “longest street in the world” for the past 13 years.  Dillon’s work as Elmo can be seen globally on television and the internet, with appearances on shows such as Good Morning America, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Today Show, and  CBeebies’ The Furchester Hotel, as well as in toys, apps, and more. In addition to performing Elmo, Dillon has played numerous chickens, birds, frogs, monsters, talking foods, and other Muppet characters. When he’s not working on the Street, Dillon is a professional puppet designer and consultant for television, film, and stage and his work can be seen in national commercials and other television shows including work for The Jim Henson Company and Disney’s Muppets.  Dillon also produces online content for the DillonGale puppet characters with his creative partner Mark Gale which can be found on Facebook and YouTube.
