April Coleman

VP Production Management & Coordinating Producer, Sesame Street

April Coleman has been with Sesame Workshop since 2005 and is responsible for leading the Production Management team. She and the PM Staff oversee the budgets, business affairs, facilities and daily production operations of generating Sesame Workshop’s content for Television, Digital Platforms, Outreach, Home Videos/DVDs and the International Formats that are produced domestically.

Coleman began her television production career in 1995 at Lifetime Television as an Associate Producer and then Segment Producer for several of Lifetime’s Original programs. In 1997 she left Lifetime to jump into the Freelance world. There she worked in production on numerous projects, from Out of the Box to The Kennedy Center’s Mark Twain Prize, Between the Lions, Comics Come Home, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Billboard Latin Music Awards and many, many more, before finding her home here at Sesame Workshop.

April lives in New Jersey with her husband George and Blu, the Norwich Terrier.
