Children’s Museum Jordan and Hikayat Simsim Unite for the Jordanian Children
(Amman, Jordan) November 22, 2012: Children’s Museum Jordan and the producers of the beloved educational TV program, Hikayat Simsim, have joined forces to continue an initiative that supports early childhood education in Jordan. The inspiring Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been renewed for a third year! The cooperation and strategic partnership between Queen Rania Al Abdullah’s non-profit educational institution and the multimedia production company took place on Thursday, November 22, 2012. The event took place at the Children’s Museum, headed by its Director Mrs. Sawsan Dallaq, and Mr. Khaled Haddad, General Manager of Jordan Pioneers and Executive Producer of Hikayat Simsim.
This cooperation between national initiatives will allow communities to join the fun-loving characters TonTon, JulJul and Elmo to spread Hikayat Simsim’s educational messages. Plans are underway for interactive Live Muppet shows and distribution of educational outreach materials. A new wave of Jordanian children nationwide will be engaged and inspired using the art of song and dance. The renewed partnership between Children’s Museum Jordan and Hikayat Simsim will encourage young children, promoting the enrichment of literacy skills, self-expression, and mutual respect and understanding, while continuing to promote the art of learning and self-worth.
Mr. Haddad has expressed his enthusiasm towards the renewed partnership, enforcing the importance of such collaborations for the continued fostering and empowerment of Jordanian youth.
Children’s Museum Jordan and Hikayat Simsim are committed to working together to develop the local community. With the support of private, public and non-for-profit institutions, the sustainability of early childhood education will continue, bettering the future of Jordanian children and their families.
