1. Take a walk with your child and collect some beautiful autumn leaves.
2. After you come inside, your child can arrange an assortment of leaves on a piece of waxed paper. Lay another piece of waxed paper on top to form a "sandwich."
3. Place the "sandwich" on an ironing board and lay a towel over it. Iron the towel on medium heat, until the waxed paper underneath has fused together around the leaves. (Warning: You must do this part without any help from your child. Make sure he is far away from the ironing board!)
4. Your child can create a construction paper frame for his artwork, and trim it to any size or shape he desires.
5. Punch a hole in the top of the frame and run a ribbon through it. Tie the ends of the ribbon together, and hang your child's leaf art where it can catch the light.
