Leaf Mosaics

Make mosaics out of autumn leaves.
by Franny Shuker-Haines

What you need:

  • Colorful leaves
  • Paper
  • Clear contact paper or glue
  • Bowl

1. Go on a walk with your child in the park or the woods, and collect some colorful leaves.

2. When you come back home, crumble a few of the leaves in a bowl, or tear them into small pieces.

3. Place the leaf fragments on a piece of paper in colorful mosaic patterns.

4. Cover your mosaic with clear contact paper to preserve it. (If you don't have contact paper, you can also glue the leaf fragments to the paper.)

Franny Shuker-Haines, a mother of three, is a freelance writer living in Massachusetts.
