NEW LINE OF SESAMSTRAAT PLUSH TO BE CREATED BY RUBOTOYS

New York, NY, February 9, 2005
It wouldn’t be a celebration without Pino, Tommie, Ieniemienie or Purk. As part of Sesamstraat’s 30th anniversary celebration, Rubotoys will be introducing a line of plush based on the characters from Sesamstraat, the local Netherlands adaptation of Sesame Street. The line, produced by the Rijseen based company, features plush versions of nine of the beloved Sesamstraat Muppet characters, available in four different size formats.

The products will be on display at Nuremberg Toy Fair and will be available at toy and department stores beginning in August.

“Rubotoys plush will be a wonderful way for Sesamstraat fans to continue laughing and learning with their favorite characters and is one of the many things we have in store to celebrate Sesamstraat’s upcoming 30th anniversary,” said Risa Nelson, Assistant Vice President of International Licensing.

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, named Copyright Promotions Licensing Group (CPLG) as its licensing representative for The Benelux last year. Sesamstraat airs in Holland on NPS.
