Play With Me Sesame features children’s favorite Sesame Street characters inviting the audience to interact and play along. In one segment, Ernie leads children in “Ernie Says” (à la “Simon Says”), while in another segment, Bert invites kids to play on the computer—creating oatmeal art, and matching and sorting socks. In addition, kids will sing and dance to classic Sesame Street tunes through a music-rich segment called “Move and Groove with Grover,” and are sure to laugh along with Prairie Dawn in her daily “misadventures.” The programs participatory approach encourages interaction and helps prepare children for school socially, emotionally and intellectually. The on-air activities not only stress fundamental concepts critical to learning such as reading, mathematics and science, but also fosters children’s creativity and individual expression.
“We are extremely excited to bring Play With Me Sesame back to Spain in such a way that allows kids more access to experiencing fun and learning,” said Jennifer Monier-Williams, Sesame Workshop’s Vice President of Worldwide Television Distribution. “By offering a variety of windows to view the Sesame content, children will have multiple opportunities to benefit from interactive play and laughter.”
“Antena 3 is pleased to be bringing back Play With Me Sesame in a bigger and broader way,” says Nicholas Gruber Fernandez, Director Comercial, Antena 3 Multimedia. “Play With Me Sesame will no longer be just a weekend treat for children. We are thrilled to make these furry and fun Muppets available to kids 7 days a week during our broadcast as well as by providing access to the show on the Antena 3 website."
