Additional Sesame Street Educational Videos Offered as Free Downloads

Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, today announced music from Sesame Street will join fifteen The Electric Company episodes and six free Sesame Street educational “Learn along with Sesame” videos already available on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com).  All songs and videos offer access to fun, easy-to-use materials designed to educate and entertain audiences of all ages.

Knell, President and CEO, Sesame Workshop. “We’re excited to make videos and music from Sesame Street and episodes of The Electric Company available through iTunes to give families another way to extend the learning and fun, at the moments they choose.”

Whether you are a Sesame Street fan who grew up on the show, a parent or a child, you can sing along anywhere to your favorite Sesame Street songs such as: “C is for Cookie,” “Sesame Street Theme Song,” “I Love Trash,” “People in the Neighborhood,” “Rubber Duckie,” “Doin’ the Pigeon.”

Turn the power of reading back on with The Electric Company, and take a ride down memory lane with the 1970s show that taught literacy to a generation of kids. Check out Mel Brooks, Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno, Joan Rivers, and Gene Wilder getting hip with the lingo – can ya dig it? Get down with favorites like Letterman, Easy Reader, a gorilla named Paul and tons of other sketch comedy, animation, and live-action films.

Join your favorite Muppets from Sesame Street as they learn, play and grow.  Elmo and his friends explore an exciting range of topics, from getting ready for school to discovering the wonders of learning with music.  So sing, dance and “Learn along with Sesame” while exploring topics such as:

• A is for Asthma - Elmo and Rosita learn what to do when their friend has trouble breathing.
• Happy Healthy Ready for School- Elmo discovers some wonderful things as he learns to get ready for school.

• Talk, Listen, Connect - Elmo finds it hard when his Dad has to go away. This program helps military families and their young children cope with the challenges experienced during deployment.
• You Can Ask! - Elmo, Telly and Big Bird present four stories that explore fear, loss, bullying, and differences.  Their experiences can help parents and kids find positive ways to talk about their feelings together.
