Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, today announced music from Sesame Street will join fifteen The Electric Company episodes and six free Sesame Street educational “Learn along with Sesame” videos already available on the iTunes Store (www.itunes.com). All songs and videos offer access to fun, easy-to-use materials designed to educate and entertain audiences of all ages.
“Sesame Workshop is always seeking new ways to present learning opportunities to our audience,” said Gary E. Knell, President and CEO, Sesame Workshop. “We’re excited to make videos and music from Sesame Street and episodes of The Electric Company available through iTunes to give families another way to extend the learning and fun, at the moments they choose.”
Whether you are a Sesame Street fan who grew up on the show, a parent or a child, you can sing along anywhere to your favorite Sesame Street songs such as: “C is for Cookie,” “Sesame Street Theme Song,” “I Love Trash,” “People in the Neighborhood,” “Rubber Duckie,” “Doin’ the Pigeon.”
Turn the power of reading back on with The Electric Company, and take a ride down memory lane with the 1970s show that taught literacy to a generation of kids. Check out Mel Brooks, Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno, Joan Rivers, and Gene Wilder getting hip with the lingo – can ya dig it?
