The Sesame Street gang are back on stage down-under in Sesame Street Presents Elmo's World Tour

AUSTRALIA - Life Like Touring and Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organisation behind Sesame Street, are thrilled to announce the return of SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO’S WORLD TOUR by public demand. Toddlers and pre-schoolers all around Australia will have the unique opportunity to see their favourite Sesame Street friends appear live on stage in this popular musical show.

Executive Producer, Luke Gallagher says, “It’s been a huge year for Life Like Touring with a number of our shows opening at theatres all around the world, including London’s West End, Hollywood and New York. Once again, our small Australian company has taken a major international brand and created a beautiful new musical stage show. We are delighted to be working with Sesame Workshop for a second year and to be bringing back SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO’S WORLD TOUR to Australia.”

In SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO’S WORLD TOUR, the Sesame Street gang – Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Grover, Zoe, Cookie Monster and Elmo use the letters of the alphabet to navigate a voyage through imagination that sees them visiting China, Zambia, France, India and at last, Australia! Elmo and his friends have fun learning how people sing, dance and say hello all over the world. However, things don’t go to plan when Cookie Monster eats the letter “C”. Can Abby Cadabby find the right magic spell to help?

Along the way, audiences will hear a sensational tale from The Count, help some travelling rubber-duckies find a place to stay with Bert and Ernie, and see the Sesame Street gang make a new friend; the gorgeous, gregarious, globe-trotter from the Gold Coast – Lady BaBa – proving its more fun to be mutton than lamb.

Featuring a bunch of classic songs alongside catchy new tunes, SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO’S WORLD TOUR has delighted Sesame Street fans of all ages.

Sesame Street has delighted and educated Australian children since it first began airing on ABC TV in 1971. Since that time, the popular TV series has been a mainstay not only for Australian audiences on the ABC but for countless viewers the world over who enjoy local Sesame Street programs in over 150 countries and translated into many, many languages. By 2006, Sesame Street had become "the most widely viewed children's television show in the world", with 20 international independent versions featuring locally developed Sesame Street Muppets addressing the needs of children in that country. Sesame Street has won 10 Grammy Awards and 138 Emmy Awards - more than any other children's TV program.

Don’t miss the Sesame Street gang live on stage as they embark on a voyage through imagination in SESAME STREET PRESENTS ELMO’S WORLD TOUR.
