HOURS OF EDUCATIONAL FUN WITH THREE NEW SESAME STREET TITLES FOR PC & MAC
AVANQUEST SOFTWARE TEAMS UP WITH LEADER IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
June 2009Avanquest Software Publishing has teamed up with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, to release three new Sesame Street titles aimed at preschoolers. With engaging activities to make learning fun, these titles teach fundamentals skills in a learning style based on almost 40 years of research.
Featuring beloved Sesame Street characters including Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie and Zoe, each title hosts exciting activities designed specifically for each age group.
For ages 1½ to 3 years, First Steps contains activities designed to encourage parent-child interaction, considered the single most important factor in a child’s development in the early years. Activities, such as sing-along songs, focus on language development, colours & shapes, numbers, letters, animals and music, helping children to learn through play. Easy mouse activities respond to the slightest movement of the mouse, and keyboard activities produce delightful sounds and surprises reinforcing the concept of cause and effect. The focus of strong parent-child interaction promotes early learning, social and language development, self-esteem and parent-child bonding.
Learn Play & Grow Preschool teaches children aged 2-4 years key subjects such as colours, music, letters, shapes, sorting & grouping and listening skills. A set of Mouse Tips provides suggested activities and approaches to help children learn the skills and concepts to use a computer mouse effectively. Learn Play & Grow also includes eight classic Sesame Street videos along with Sesame Street characters providing helpful hints throughout the tasks. By adjusting automatically to a child’s skill level, Learn Play & Grow allows children to play and learn at their own pace.
For children aged 3-5 years, Let’s Go To Preschool is the final product in the trio, designed to teach essential preschool skills. Each activity is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years including activities such as classification, creativity & painting, word families, comprehension and other school-readiness skills. A customised learning environment provides children with individualised feedback and support, automatically adjusting to their skill level. Let’s Go To Preschool provides a fun-filled opportunity to learn fundamentals skills with children’s favourite characters from Sesame Street.
