Chief Content and Distribution Officer Terry Fitzpatrick oversees six key divisions at Sesame Workshop: Sesame Street Production, The Electric Company, Sesame Languages, Media Distribution, Content Innovation Lab, and Themed Entertainment. He manages global content development and production as well as distribution strategy and partner relationships to deliver the Workshop’s content across all media platforms.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was most recently Executive Vice President of Distribution. He was responsible for managing all business activities for distribution of Sesame Workshop content across media platforms. He joined the Workshop in 1996 as Vice President of Finance for the Television, Film, and Video divisions.
Prior to joining the Workshop, Mr. Fitzpatrick spent nine years in programming at Showtime Networks, rising to the level of Vice President of Programming Finance. He began his career as Controller of The Joyce Theater, where he also created and produced The American Theatre Exchange, which brought to New York City theatrical productions from throughout the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama.
